Role Play in a Fantasy Version of Egypte

~Introduction ~

Hello, my name is Anthony Romus, and I am the emperor of the Egyptian Empire. I wish to tell you something of the history of this vast and fascinating Empire, for one needs to understand its history before judging it.

Long ago, in a different world, we, the Egyptians, ruled vast territories, had our wars and our allies, and queens such as Cleopatra played political intrigues and had affairs with rulers of the Roman Empire. Soon, however, our lands were greatly dimished...we were losing power.

Christians, Muslims and many new religions threatened the existance of our Gods, which was not looked upon with anything but contempt by those threatened. It is said that if a God is forgotten by his worshippers, then he will simply fall to an eternal sleep and would be lost to the ages....dim memories lurking in the shadows....

The Gods knew this, and so they gathered the last of their worshippers, leaders and supporters, and brought them to a new world. There, the Egyptians tried to settle in and rebuild what was almost lost to them. They went on building and expanding their empires, only to discover, they were not entirely at peace. Beyond the deserts they inhabited, lived creatures such as the Elves, the Dwarves, the Vi'Tals, the Phoenix, other humans, and many other races inhabited this world.

But, sadly, the Egyptians could not live in peace with their neighbors, instead, they conquered parts of the lands which the natives owned. Expanding on their culture, and indoctrinating the natives with their religion. The fate of their deities hung heavily in their minds, and so they desperately felt the need to spread the word and indoctrinate others.

New temples, pyramids, and tombs were built throughout the lands, and so the Egyptians grew to be what they are today.

Today, I proclaim myself Emperor of Egypt. I am ready to face new perils and new challenges, and most of all, I am ready to face keeping peace amongst the Nations. I welcome you the New Empire of Egypt.

Sincerely,
Anthony Romus
